NAR, the nations largest real estate association with approximately 800,000 members, has recently selected eREI to develop a methodological framework for interpreting and integrating disparate commercial real estate data sources. eREI’s selection for this project was based on eREI’s prior work and expertise in real estate data standards and its understanding of data integration and modeling. eREI’s work in interpreting and integrating widely divergent real estate data sources is intended to help solve the complex problems associated with the fragmented and non uniform real estate information landscape.

The National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), the nation’s largest association of multifamily executives, selected eREI and RealFoundations to develop a data exchange standard in partnership with the multifamily industry. Now in its second engagement with RealFoundations and NMHC, eREI continues to guide the technological development of the Multifamily Information and Transactions Standard, MITS.

Together eREI and RealFoundations have been working closely with a broad spectrum of leading multifamily companies to develop a commercially viable data exchange standard. The eREI / RealFoundations team has met significant success in developing the standard and seeding its adoption throughout the multifamily industry. Under eREI’s leadership, the technological development of the MITS standard is one of the most successful standards efforts in the real estate industry.

eREI has recently completed the development of an XML Schema for Homestore.com’s Apartment and Rentals division. eREI has worked with Homestore Apartment and Rentals to develop and improve its XML technology and data exchange capabilities. eREI was selected for this work because of its familiarity with current real estate standards, its knowledge of how apartment data is handled in the multifamily industry, and its skills with XML technology. eREI completed its work under budget and with deliverables exceeding expectations.
